Parliament Nov. 28 (Daily Mirror)- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said he invited former sports minister Roshan Ranasinghe to the Opposition Leader’s office to discuss removing Sri Lanka’s cricket ban and not for any political conspiracy.
The Opposition Leader told Parliament that he was having a discussion with the Indian High Commissioner and that he invited Roshan Ranasinghe also to the occasion to see if there are any possibilities of getting the intervention of the High Commissioner to remove the ban on Sri Lanka Cricket.
“I discussed with the Indian High Commissioner and Roshan Ranasinghe to remove the cricket ban and not to plan any political conspiracy. Roshan Ranasinghe is now accused of meeting the Opposition Leader. The other Cabinet Ministers also come and meet me. They do not come to engage in any political conspiracies,” he said.
