President Anura Kumara Disanayake  

President Anura Kumara Disanayake has reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling all promises made to the people during the last Presidential and General Elections.

He expressed these views at a rally organised by the National People’s Power (NPP) in Vavuniya yesterday.

The President emphasised the commitment to never betraying the public’s trust, expressing confidence that even those who doubted them in the past, now believe in the country’s new direction.

He said for the first time in Sri Lanka’s history, a Government focused on the people is being built.

He further noted that the belief that ruling was a birth-right of the elite has been broken, and today, the nation holds hope for the future.

The President promised that, with continued public trust, the country will be transformed and built together with the people.
